Meet Liz
Lead Tutor + Founder
The Start
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Liz comes from a long line of teachers and educators. Her first example of joyful, structured and individualized teaching was her mom, Renee. Leading the charge, Renee homeschooled Liz and her siblings until they each entered private schools in the LA area. From the beginning, education was not just about achievement -- it was about curiousity, confidence and care.
Lessons from Her Mom
Renee taught Liz how to set herself up success. Using tailored academic systems and cross-sensory learnings tools, Liz's early education was filled with excitement, joy and academic confidence.
After attending Harvard Westlake (Honor Roll) for middle and high school, Liz set off for New York City to start her journey at Columbia University (Columbia College) where she majored in Art History with a Concentration in Italian.
A Bit of Drama
Her senior year, Liz was unexpectedly bit by the theater bug! While continuing her work in education, Liz has been a professional actor for 10+ years, appearing in plays, television and films across New York and the globe. She received her Masters in Fine Arts from Brown University in Theater and Directing.
